Take your slow-pitch performance to the next level with the Easton Synergy CNT Plus softball bat. The Synergy CNT Plus is stronger and tougher than traditional softball bats thanks to the addition of carbon nanotube technology (CNT), which strengthens the bat's composite structures to allow for longer barrels and bigger sweet spots. The bat also features more handle flex than other bats--two times greater than aluminum--giving players more "kick" through the hitting zone and greater responsiveness in the hands. Add in the bat's aerospace-grade fibers and high-toughness resins and you have an ultra-lightweight, extra-strong bat that ensures a maximum performance within the legal limits of the game.
Specific features include a 13.5-inch extended barrel, a patent-pending Extended Flex design that lengthens the sweet spot, a patent-pending Integrated MatriX (IMX) technology that optimizes the relationship between the materials and the manufacturing process, and an ultra-thin 29/32-inch handle with a Pro-Tack cushioned grip. The bat is also slightly end loaded to increase power. Users should note that the bat's Hottest 100+ MPH Performance rating does not comply with ASA's 2004 bat performance standard, but it does comply with all other major softball association standards as of January 1, 2005, including USSSA, NSA, ISA, SSUSA, and ISF. About Easton
In 1922, Doug Easton began crafting custom wood bows and cedar arrows in Watsonville, California. Although Doug produced tournament-grade, footed cedar arrows for the archery champions of that era, he was constantly frustrated with the inconsistency and lack of uniformity of wood shafts. Convinced that consistently straight uniform arrow shafts were impossible to manufacture from wood, Doug turned his attentions to aluminum. In 1939, he began manufacturing aluminum arrows in Los Angeles. His instincts about this material were correct, and in 1941, California archer Larry Hughes won the national championship with a set of Doug's aluminum arrows. This was the beginning of a trend that would change traditional archery and transcend into numerous other sports arenas over the next 50 years.
Easton is considered one of the world's preeminent innovators, designers, and manufacturers of sporting equipment.
